Primary Causes of Infertility
Fertility problems can be caused by several, varied factors. For example, lifestyle issues can affect fertility such as stress, diet choices, and/or poor nutrition. However, often the cause of infertility is a physical one such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), tubal disease, endometriosis to name a few. All of these causes can be treated effectively with Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture alone or in tandem with Western Medical treatment. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) PCOS is one of the leading causes of infertility in women. PCOS occurs when the ovaries become enlarged and have small, painless cysts. PCOS can prevent pregnancy by affecting menstrual cycles and hormone levels. PCOS symptoms vary from person to person but can include: infertility, irregular or absent menstrual cycles, ovarian cysts, excessive facial and/or body hair, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and depression. If you have been diagnosis with PCOS and would to know how Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture can assist with these conditions, Tubal Disease Tubal disease is a common cause of infertility. This situation occurs when the fallopian tubes become blocked or damaged, preventing the eggs from getting from the ovaries to the uterus or preventing the sperm from getting to the egg. Tube blockage can be caused by infection, scarring from a previous surgery or endometriosis. If you have been diagnosis with Tubal Disease and would to know how Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture can assist with these conditions,

Unexplained fertility is the inability to conceive after one of year of regular, unprotected intercourse with no apparent medical explanation for their infertility. Unexplained infertility can happen to both men and women. Unexplained infertility can be caused by several factors such as, implantation failure, ineffective fertilization, lack of fertilization, or a thick outer shell of the female’s egg. If you have been diagnosis with Male and Female Unexplained Infertility and would to know how Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture can assist with these conditions,
Endometriosis occurs when the tissues lining the uterus grows outside the uterus, attaching perhaps to the abdominal organs, the ovaries, tissues that hold the uterus in place, the bladder and/or the bowels. Once on the outside of the uterus the tissues swell and thicken. This is caused by hormonal changes during a women’s menstrual cycle causing inflammation and eventually scar tissue. Scar tissue can interfere with the ovulation cycle or cause blockage in the fallopian tubes, making conception difficult. Endometriosis is a common cause of female infertility that can get progressively worse over time and can reoccur even after treatment. If you have been diagnosis with Endometriosis and would to know how Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture can assist with these conditions,
Stress affects the body in many ways and can come in many forms such as, pressure to conceive, overworking, not getting enough sleep or even extreme exercise. Stress can cause hormonal changes that can affect the maturation and release of the egg or spasms in the fallopian tubes and uterus, affecting implantation. In men, stress can cause erectile dysfunction and affect the sperm count and motility. Stress can be treated effectively with Tradition Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. If stress is an issue for you,
